3. Application of These Terms

3.1 These Terms apply to all orders placed through EcoFlow.ie with Off Your Grid Ltd unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3.2 Certain rights apply only to Consumers. These are identified where relevant.

3.3 Business Customers are responsible for ensuring that goods are suitable for their intended business, commercial, institutional, or professional use before purchase.

3.4 These Terms do not affect any statutory rights available under Irish law.

4. Consumer Rights

If you are a Consumer, your purchase is protected under applicable Irish and EU consumer protection law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2022.

Goods must match their description and be of satisfactory quality, fit for their normally intended purpose, and durable, taking account of the nature of the goods and any statements made by us or the manufacturer.

If goods are not in conformity with the contract, you may be entitled in the first instance to repair or replacement. A Consumer may choose between repair and replacement unless the chosen remedy is impossible or would impose disproportionate costs compared with the other remedy.

If repair or replacement is not available, is not completed within a reasonable time, or causes significant inconvenience, you may then be entitled to a price reduction or a full or partial refund.

These rights exist independently of any manufacturer warranty.

Portable power products must be selected and used appropriately. Any technical suitability, installation, vehicle integration, solar configuration, grid-related use, or site-specific application should be assessed separately where required.

5. Product Information and Suitability

5.1 We aim to ensure that product information on our website is accurate and based on manufacturer information available to us.

5.2 Product specifications, images, descriptions, compatibility notes, app features, firmware features, charging rates, and accessory compatibility may change where manufacturers update products, manuals, firmware, or regional specifications.

5.3 Any charging figures, power output figures, solar input figures, UPS or EPS descriptions, app features, or operating modes are manufacturer-supported information only unless expressly confirmed under applicable Irish regulation.

5.4 Product descriptions and use-case examples are general information only. They are not installation advice, electrical design advice, engineering advice, or a guarantee that a product is suitable for a specific appliance, site, vehicle, business process, insurance requirement, or regulated use.

5.5 We do not provide appliance-specific runtime guarantees or appliance-specific performance estimates. Actual performance depends on product settings, load behaviour, temperature, battery condition, installation method, firmware, accessories, and the way the product is used.

5.6 Customers should read and follow the manufacturer manual, safety instructions, technical datasheet, and product warnings before use.

6. Orders and Contract Formation

6.1 A binding contract is formed when we confirm acceptance of your order.

6.2 Product listings, pricing, promotions, stock levels, and availability are subject to change before order acceptance.

6.3 For Business Customers, quotations are non-binding unless confirmed in writing by Off Your Grid Ltd.

6.4 We may cancel an order before dispatch where goods are unavailable, pricing errors occur, payment verification fails, suspected fraud arises, or supply issues arise. Where payment has already been made, a refund will be issued.

6.5 Ownership of goods transfers once full payment has been received and delivery has been completed.

6.6 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders where we reasonably believe that the goods are being purchased for unsafe, unlawful, misrepresented, or unsuitable use.

7. Pricing and Payment

7.1 All prices are displayed in euro (€) and include VAT unless otherwise stated.

7.2 Delivery charges are displayed during checkout where applicable.

7.3 Payment must be completed before dispatch unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7.4 We reserve the right to correct genuine pricing errors before order acceptance.

7.5 Promotional pricing, discount codes, bundle pricing, and manufacturer-supported offers may be withdrawn or changed without notice before order acceptance.

7.6 Business, trade, institutional, public-sector, and bulk orders may be subject to separate written quotations and payment terms.

8. Delivery and Risk

Consumers

8.1 For Consumers, risk remains with us until the goods are delivered to you or to a person identified by you to receive them.

8.2 Delivery estimates are provided for guidance only unless expressly agreed otherwise.

8.3 If delivery is delayed significantly, Consumers may have rights under Irish consumer legislation.

8.4 We will address delivery loss or damage in accordance with applicable consumer protection law.

Business Customers

8.5 For Business Customers, risk transfers upon delivery to the agreed delivery location, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

8.6 Delivery dates for Business Customers are estimates unless expressly agreed in writing.

8.7 Business Customers must inspect deliveries promptly and notify us of any visible damage, shortage, or delivery issue as soon as reasonably possible.

9. Consumer Right to Cancel Online Orders

9.1 Consumers purchasing online generally have the right to cancel eligible orders within 14 calendar days from:

  • The day the goods are received; or
  • The day the final item of a split delivery is received.

9.2 To exercise cancellation rights, contact us clearly by email or post using the details in Section 1.

9.3 Consumers must return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after informing us of the decision to cancel.

9.4 Where you exercise your right to cancel, we will issue your refund in accordance with Irish consumer legislation. Where goods have been delivered, we may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or until you provide evidence that you have returned them, whichever is earlier. Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless you expressly agree otherwise.

9.5 Where we have clearly informed you before the contract was formed that you will be responsible for the direct cost of returning goods, you will bear that cost. If you were not clearly informed of this before purchase, we will bear the return cost. This does not apply where goods are faulty, incorrect, or otherwise not in conformity with the contract.

9.6 Returned goods should be handled only to the extent necessary to inspect them as would reasonably be permitted in a retail environment.

9.7 We may make a deduction for any loss in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.

9.8 Certain goods may be excluded from the right of cancellation where permitted by Irish law, including goods that are made to your specification, goods that have been clearly personalised, or sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons and have been unsealed after delivery. We will confirm whether any exclusion applies at the time of your order or return request.

10. Returns Process

10.1 Please contact us before returning any goods so we can provide return instructions.

10.2 Goods should be returned with all supplied accessories, cables, manuals, packaging, and included items where possible.

10.3 Customers are responsible for ensuring returned goods are packaged safely and securely for transport.

10.4 We recommend using a tracked and insured return service, particularly for high-value items.

10.5 Do not return lithium battery products using unsuitable postal or courier services. Where required, customers should follow carrier requirements for lithium battery transport and any return instructions provided by us or the manufacturer.

10.6 Refunds may be delayed if returned goods are incomplete, damaged, unsafe to handle, missing key accessories, or require inspection.

11. Faulty Goods – Consumer Remedies

If goods are not in conformity with the contract, Consumers are entitled to remedies under Irish law on the following basis:

First: repair or replacement. A Consumer may choose between repair and replacement unless the chosen remedy is impossible or would impose disproportionate costs compared with the other remedy.

Second: if repair or replacement is not available, cannot be completed within a reasonable time, or cannot be completed without significant inconvenience, you may be entitled to a price reduction or a full or partial refund.

Any applicable remedies will be handled in accordance with Irish consumer legislation.

Where a product requires manufacturer assessment, repair authorisation, firmware review, fault diagnosis, or technical inspection, the process may involve the manufacturer or authorised service channel.

Nothing in this section affects a Consumer’s statutory rights under Irish law.

12. Business Customers – Scope and Terms

12.1 Off Your Grid Ltd supplies portable power equipment and related accessories only. Unless explicitly agreed in writing, we do not provide electrical installation services, fixed wiring work, vehicle integration services, engineering certification, grid compliance certification, insurance certification, or regulatory sign-off.

12.2 Any fixed electrical installation, building integration, vehicle electrical integration, grid-related use, or permanent wiring should be assessed and carried out by a suitably qualified professional familiar with applicable Irish regulations and standards.

12.3 Certain products may support functions or operating modes described by the manufacturer. Customers remain responsible for ensuring any intended installation or use complies with Irish law, insurance requirements, workplace requirements, site-specific requirements, and manufacturer instructions.

12.4 Business purchases do not generally include consumer cancellation rights or change-of-mind return rights unless agreed in writing.

12.5 Any discretionary business return or refund arrangement must be agreed in writing.

12.6 Any product descriptions, charging figures, compatibility guidance, or use-case examples are general information only and are based on manufacturer documentation or typical usage scenarios. They are not a substitute for professional assessment, installation advice, engineering advice, risk assessment, or site-specific design.

12.7 Business Customers are responsible for ensuring that products are suitable for their intended use, duty cycle, operating environment, workplace requirements, insurance requirements, and any relevant safety obligations.

13. Product Use and Safety

13.1 Products sold by Off Your Grid Ltd must be used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, operating limits, safety guidance, and applicable regulations.

13.2 Portable power stations are designed as temporary or portable power solutions unless explicitly stated otherwise by the manufacturer.

13.3 Customers should not connect products to fixed building wiring, transfer switches, vehicle electrical systems, grid systems, fixed solar arrays, generators, or other regulated infrastructure unless such use is confirmed by the manufacturer and assessed by a suitably qualified professional.

13.4 Certain products, operating modes, charging methods, or grid-connected features discussed online or used in other countries may not be confirmed for use under Irish regulations, Irish electrical rules, Irish grid requirements, insurance requirements, or local site requirements.

13.5 Where manufacturer guidance differs between regions, Irish regulatory requirements and applicable Irish standards take priority for use in Ireland.

13.6 Products must not be used in unsafe, overloaded, modified, damaged, wet, poorly ventilated, or unsuitable environments.

13.7 Customers should not modify products, bypass safety systems, use incompatible cables, use unsuitable adapters, backfeed circuits, or use products outside manufacturer instructions.

13.8 Products are not intended for critical medical, life-support, or safety-critical applications unless expressly confirmed by the manufacturer and professionally assessed for that purpose.

14. Solar Panels, Charging and Installation

14.1 Solar panels, alternator chargers, power stations, batteries, and charging accessories must be used within manufacturer-specified voltage, current, temperature, wiring, and safety limits.

14.2 Any permanent solar installation, roof-mounted system, vehicle-mounted system, grid-connected system, or hardwired installation should be assessed and installed by a suitably qualified professional.

14.3 Portable solar panels and portable charging accessories should only be used in line with manufacturer instructions and should not be treated as a substitute for professional electrical design.

14.4 Vehicle charging products, alternator chargers, DC-DC chargers, and similar equipment may require professional installation. Vehicle compatibility, electrical capacity, battery type, fuse protection, cable routing, and insurance implications should be assessed by a suitably qualified professional.

14.5 Off Your Grid Ltd does not certify vehicle installations, fixed electrical installations, solar installations, grid connections, or insurance compliance.

15. Manufacturer Warranties

15.1 Certain products include a manufacturer warranty provided directly by the product manufacturer.

15.2 Manufacturer warranty terms, durations, limitations, exclusions, and claim procedures are determined by the manufacturer and may vary by product.

15.3 Manufacturer warranties are separate from and in addition to any rights Consumers may have under Irish consumer protection law.

15.4 Where warranty support requires manufacturer assessment, firmware review, repair authorisation, technical inspection, serial-number verification, or return to a service centre, timelines and outcomes may depend on manufacturer procedures.

15.5 Business or commercial use may be treated differently by manufacturers depending on the product and warranty terms. Business Customers should review the applicable manufacturer warranty before purchase.

16. Limitation of Liability

Consumers

16.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited under Irish law.

16.2 Nothing in these Terms affects Consumer statutory rights.

Business Customers

16.3 To the extent permitted by law, our liability to Business Customers is limited to the value of the goods supplied.

16.4 To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential, or business losses including business interruption, downtime, loss of profit, loss of contracts, loss of data, loss of production, loss of opportunity, or reputational loss.

16.5 We are not liable for loss or damage arising from misuse, incorrect installation, unauthorised modification, unsuitable site conditions, use outside manufacturer instructions, incompatible accessories, overloading, backfeeding, or use in regulated systems without suitable professional assessment.

17. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control including severe weather, transport disruption, supplier shortages, manufacturer delays, customs delays, industrial disputes, power outages, cyber incidents, regulatory restrictions, carrier disruption, or other events outside our reasonable control.

18. Public-Sector and Institutional Supply

Separate procurement, tender, purchase order, payment, or institutional supply terms may apply to public-sector or institutional customers where agreed in writing.

Where a public-sector or institutional customer issues its own purchase terms, those terms will only apply where accepted by Off Your Grid Ltd in writing.
